John Uvodich is VP/GM of DRS Fermont, and Management Lead of the DRS Power Solutions line of business, consisting of DRS Fermont, DRS Pivotal Power, and DRS Universal Power Systems. DRS Power Solutions falls within the Sustainment Systems Segment of DRS Technologies, having its headquarters in St. Louis, MO, one of the four major segments within DRS Technologies, Inc..
John Uvodich’s business profile encompasses nearly 25 years of U.S. Defense Management experience;
John started out in finance at Ford Aerospace in Palo Alto, CA. Then under new Loral ownership, John proceeded to oversee all LoralRange financial responsibilities in Ridgecrest, CA. Leaving Loral after eight years, John moved on as Director of Program Management for a company currently known as DRS Range and Control Systems and eventually was promoted to Special Assistant to the President. After nine years at Range and Control Systems, John was promoted to President/CEO of a sister company called Continental Electronics Corporation. After successfully turning the discontinued operation around, John left CEC.
By his proven ability to lead organizations through turnaround and his unwavering commitment to Corporate growth and profitability, John was hired by DRS in August 2006 to become VP/GM of DRS Fermont and Management Lead for DRS’ Power Solutions Line of Business.
